Prehistoria Park is a cloned-dinosaur theme park on an island off the coast, and your family bought you a 'Dino Encounter Day' for your birthday. You are in an open-top jeep on the Big Teeth Safari with a nervous gap-year guide called Ray, when every light in the park goes out. The jeep stops. The electric fence beside you stops humming. On the other side of it is Duchess, twelve metres of Tyrannosaurus, the park's star attraction. She was asleep. She is not asleep now.
